In co-operation with the Border & Immigration Agency, and in association with the Association of Regulated Immigration Advisers, the Immigration Advisory Service is organising a major event to inform practitioners and interested parties about the development of the Points Based System. In particular, the seminar will inform participants on progress of the Points Based System and how it will work: · Employer checks and their responsibilities · How applications are made and dealt with · The nature of compliance visits under the Points Based System · The role of work permits under the Points Based System · The training and support to be given to entry clearance officers

Advice will be given by the OISC on how it will regulate
those who will give assistance to Points Based System
Speakers will include leading officials from the Border & Immigration Agency and the Immigration Services Commissioner and other senior OISC representatives will be attending.
Participants can claim 3 CPD points (subject to confirmation by the Law Society)
